I grew up in Jayton and graduated from JHS in 1979.  After that  I attended Angelo State University.  I graduated from there in 1983 with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education.  I taught  for 7 years in Goldsmith, TX and 7 years in Odessa, TX before returning home in 1998 to care for my parents.

 

I went to work for JGISD in 2008.  I am currently a Special Education teacher in the morning and the Pk-3 music teacher in the afternoon.  This is my 13th year at JGISD and my 27th year in all.

 

I am married to Glen Cherry.  He is employed with Centurion Pipeline in Snyder.

 

I have 3 step sons and 7 grandchildren.  My favorite hobby is my animals  which consists of dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, cows, and goats.
