Mrs Hernandez's Page

My name is Connie Hernandez and I am in my sixth year at Jayton-Girard ISD teaching 3rd-5th Math. I was a Special Ed aide for 7 years before becoming a 4th-8th Generalist teacher and a Special Education teacher. I worked as a Special Education Director for 5 years and also taught 6th-8th Math. I have been in the education world for 18 years now and I am a very passionate teacher and enjoy working with students on a daily basis at all levels. 

 

I have been married to Joe Hernandez for 30 years and we have three sons.  Benjamin and Adam, 27 are in the workforce. Ben lives here in Jayton and works for Oxy and Adam lives in Big Lake and works for Enel Energy. Our youngest son, Aaron, 23 is enrolled at Texas Tech University.

 

We enjoy living in Jayton, Texas and have already made many special friends and I absolutely love working with all my students and I am extremely blessed being part of the Jaybird family.
